Dalbavie Flute Concerto

先月のChicago Symphonyの定期演奏会の録音からM.Dufour+P.Boulezの顔合わせでDalbavieが2006年に書いたフルート協奏曲を聴くことが出来た。

すでにE.PahudのCDで曲は知っていたが、数年たっての再演で人類の進歩が感じられた。

印象的なアルペジオオステナート部分は和声構成が明瞭に分析され、中間部以降の緩やかな部分では一音々々表情豊かに歌い上げて音楽を実のあるものにしていた。

素晴らしいテクニックを用いての音楽表現に感服！

この季節の第九

昨日（一昨日）のAvery Fisherでの第九の演奏会での情景。（NYTimesの写真を見て）

演奏はイワン　フィッシャーとブダペスト祝祭プラスドーフクワイア。
随分と思い切った演奏配置で、ソリストとティンパニーが指揮者のすぐ前、合唱団はなんと指揮者の背中！
つまりオーケストラと指揮者より前で歌ったわけである。（指揮はモニターを見ながら）
この配置が初めての試みではないのだろうが、なかなか視覚的には気が利いていると思う。

打楽器のグループの中で演奏したピッコロが埋もれてしまったのが残念のように書いてあったが、これも良いアイデアだと思った。

この会場ではMasur+NYPに少年合唱隊が加わってこの曲を演奏し話題になったが（その後東京でも同様に演奏）、次はどの団体がどんな試みをやるのか楽しみである。

Philharmonic STELLAの皆様
昨日は練習お疲れ様でした。Carmen Fantasyは40小節以降を中心に練習をしました。特にハバネラへの導入部、トレモロの運指確認に時間を使いました。
Galway Fantasyはロンドンデリーからのカウントご難しい箇所に時間を割きました。

１０人の練習参加がありました。

次回練習日は４月２４日１３時半よりサンゴミズキになります。

本日の練習お疲れ様でした。本日も交響曲の３楽章と４楽章のみの練習となりました。

新作初演6月6日

6月6日（日）アーティストサロン「ドルチェ」にて予定しておりますリサイタルで、
Gary Schocker氏による新曲「Still Airheads」を初演することとなりました。
共演は東京フィル首席クラリネット奏者杉山伸氏です。

新曲は今回の演奏者のために書かれました。

ご期待下さい。

Summer time

It's turn to summer time in US.
We missed it very often because don't have it here Japan.
I realized recent there are few states where don't use the summer time such a state of Arizona.

Philharmonic STELLA第22回演奏会日程

次回Philharmonic STELLA第22回演奏会は9月12日（日）に決定いたしました。
午後2時開演予定、つくば文化会館アルスホールになります。

Nose

METの「鼻(ショスタコビッチ）」公演が始まった。
これを見たかったのだが行くのが早すぎた様で先週金曜日が初演、Gergievの熱演がFinancial Timesで評判になっていた。
Muti, Gergievと巨匠の来演でLevineの影が薄くなっている。
Levineは来シーズンにMETデビュー40周年ということでお祝いシーズン（リング全曲）が行われる。

来シーズンに先立ってLAOperaとSFOperaのリングも楽しみですね。5月から6月にかけて開催されます。

Paris＋P.Jordanの「Rheingold」はいかがでしたでしょうか？

Philharmonic STELLA練習３月７日

Philharmonic STELLA３月７日練習ご苦労様でした。

「カルメン幻想曲」４１小節目より最後までの練習をしました。40小節から68小節間のトレモロ運指を確認して下さい。この曲で一番難しい箇所となります。

13名の練習参加がありました。
新しく入会された方があります。

次回練習日は3月28日午後1時30分よりArt&Cafeサンゴミズキとなります。

meet with Vincent and Rafal

I met Rafal first time, he is now cellist at Valencia opera with L.Mazzel in Spain. We talked about job. How nice at Valencia !
We went back to MET once again seeing unusual performance of Attilla in this evening. because it was conducted by R.Muti ! never before.

Came back to Lincoln center enjoying the barber at MET. It was much fun.

I visited Yuko-san at her residence near the Lincoln Center. spent too much time for talking.
could not make time going to museums.

at the Avery Fisher

Hearing the Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall.
only about 200 people could attend this concert,because it was snowstorm.the traffic was stopped that morning.

We saw opening night of Balancin's Jewel.that was colorful and sweet !

I came several time to here former WTC, because there was the immigration offec where we had to show our visa I-20 to the offiecer.

It was heavy snow when we get to downtown.

We got to Newark airport on time,then spent more than an hour at the airport.
but OK.
could make to La Bohem at the MET.that was long-run stage, I missed my school years.
My friend Vincent who one of orchetra member brought us to back stage doing the intermissions.
